Kids Day Field Trip - Issaquah Salmon Hatchery

  • September 14, 2018
  • 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Issaquah Fish Hatchery, 125 W Sunset Way, Issaquah, 98027

Registration CLOSED. FULL CAPACITY.

Come for early lunch at 11am,

tour promptly at 12 noon for an hour

and then explore on your own with friends.

Bring  your own lunch to eat in the park across the street.

The Issaquah hatchery is the most visited of the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife’s hatcheries, with thousands of visitors every year. As the region grapples with change to the natural environment, FISH highlights the presence of salmon in Issaquah Creek to cultivate a sense of wonder about these remarkable fish.

We strive to tell the story of salmon here in such a way that fosters a natural, life-long commitment to their wellbeing

Although the hatchery is open year-round, autumn is the most active time of year, when adult chinook and coho salmon return to the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery. Chinook are the first to return, with the first salmon usually showing up in late August and the bulk of the return arriving by mid-September through mid-October.

Suggested Donation: $2 per person
