What do you do when your computer gets a virus? What special precaution should you take on “peer-to-peer file sharing” or torrents? Join H.O.M.E. April parent meeting on Tuesday, April 12, to learn how to keep your family safer on line. Gerard Duguay, husband of Sharon Duguay, a board member of Connections, will present internet safety and internet searching and research. He will cover disclosure of sensitive personal information, theft of credit cards and account data, internet searching and research, and much more.

Gerard has worked in Information Technology throughout his professional career. He graduated from the University of Washington with a master’s degree in 1989. He spent over 10 years with the State of Washington as a computer programmer and systems and network administrator. Gerard is now in his 12th year at Seattle Pacific University where he works as Assistant Director of Computer and Information Systems and manager of the Network and Telecommunication Team. His areas of interest and specialization include information security and wireless network technologies.
